    Submitting website to DMOZ

Obtaining a listing in the Open Directory Project (ODP), sometimes referred to as DMOZ, is very important for numerous reasons. The biggest reason for working hard towards an ODP listing is the influence that the listing will have on your Google rankings and PageRank.

    DMOZ Indexing Time

As each category has a different volunteer editor, the inclusion time can vary from 1 week to 6 months. An important thing to emphasize is that you should submit your website in a particular category only once.
Advice: If your website is not enlisted in the directory, follow it up with a nice email to the editor, and then be patient.
